Calling all teachers, libraries, literacy coordinators, scientists and resource managers.
Steve keeps in touch with readers by giving talks, workshops and other events. These are held in schools, libraries, bookstores and similar centres, usually as part of a literacy programme, book week, reading day, library celebration or science festival.
The events are based around planning, research, writing, editing, designed and illustration – but not always in that order. The emphasis is on information, imagination, interactivity, flexibility and fun.
Topics for focus can usually be chosen from Steve’s author list, to fit with subjects currently being studied, from human digestion or the nature of light, to the latest news on gorillas, cloning or interplanetary probes.
NEWS – Steve and co-authors have been shortlisted for BBC'S BLUE PETER BOOK OF THE YEAR 2012 for Discover the Extreme World.
